Healthy Salad Recipes For Weight Loss

This is the first salad I ever ate that didn’t need dressing!  If you are looking for a salad recipe that will help you lose weight this is it!  The lemon and the herbs created a very light and refreshing salad topper.  I did add in some green Cholula sauce to give it a kick!  This recipe was super easy to prepare and is a great option for lunch. You get some great protein with the chick peas.  The avocado offers a great healthy fat option.  I used 8 oz of Spinach but you can choose whatever salad you prefer.



  • Ingredients
  • 1/2 C. Reduced Sodium Chickpeas/Garbanzo Beans, Drained & Rinsed 8 1 Avocado, Diced
  • 8 oz Baby Spinach
  • 1 Thinly Sliced Green Onion
  • 3 Tbsp. Chopped Fresh Basil
  • 3 Tbsp. Reduced Fat Crumbled Feta 1/2 Lemon, Juiced
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

This Simple Healthy Salad Recipe For Weight Loss Requires Only 2 Steps!

1. Carefully combine everything together in a large bowl being mindful not to smash the avocados too much.

2. Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
