Flavors

Calling this one a tie. Both companies offer whey and dairy free options.

Isagenix offers the whey options of Creamy Dutch Chocolate, Creamy French Vanilla, Strawberry Cream & Kosher Creamy Vanilla.  Isagenix also offers the dairy free versions of Rich Chocolate, Vanilla Chai & Natural Berry Harvest.

Shakeology offers the whey options of Chocolate, Vanilla & Cafe Latte and the vegan options of Vanilla Vegan & Cafe Latte Vegan.

Protein

Isagenix offers more protein than Shakeology with 24 grams versus 17 grams of protein. But, you could add more protein from Shakeology by combining it with skim milk. In the end, this gives Isagenix a slight edge in the protein category.

Fat

In terms of fat, Shakeology has far less fat than Isagenix. Isagenix contains 5 grams of fat per serving compared to Shakeology’s 2 grams. That is a pretty big gap and I’d give the win to Shakeology in the fat category.

Calories & Fiber

What about the calories? Shakeology only has 140 per serving while Isagenix has 240 per serving. As far as fiber Isagenix totally wins with 7 grams of fiber per serving versus only 3 grams of fiber from Shakeology. If you take all of this into account it’s a draw.

Vitamins

Meal replacement shakes should also have vitamins to help protect the body from free radicals. On this category, Shakeology comes out on top with 300% of the vitamin C daily value compared to only 40% for Isagenix.
Shakeology offers more Vitamin A as well with 100% versus 50% from Isagenix.
For calcium, Shakeology has 20% more than the IsaLean Shake. As well as vitamin B6, Shakeology contains of 100% of its daily value, where Isagenix only contains of 70%.

Feeling Full

Before we talk about which one has a better appetite suppressor, a thorough comparison should be done first. Especially of the ingredients because it determines which one performs better than the other to block and manage the appetite.
The appetite usually is influenced by satiety. So, when a person doesn’t always feel hunger, she or he eats less than another who feels hunger almost all the time.  Satiety doesn’t influence itself.  Instead, it does have strong connection with few kinds of nutrition inside the body.  The more nourished a person feels the less hungry and less strong the cravings will be.
Take protein for example. When a person eats more protein and less calories, the satiety will last much longer than when she/he eats less protein and more calories. So, when we compare Isagenix and Shakeology, Isagenix gets the edge because it contains more protein than Shakeology.
Besides protein, fiber also influences how long satiety can last. In this case, again Isagenix is winning because it has more fiber than Shakeology which is 7 grams vs 3 grams.

Quality Control

Isagenix goes out of the way to test all materials they use to make their shakes and other products. They have a “no compromise” policy when it comes to their ingredients so that if you purchase something that has 24 grams of protein it actually will have that amount of protein. I couldn’t find any data on the testing that shakeology does so I’d give the edge here to Isagenix.

The Overall System

Both companies offer 30 day systems with support coaches to answer nutrition questions. The biggest thing that stood out to me was how Isagenix implements Intermittent fasting into there plans. There are recent scientific articles published about intermittent fasting and the health benefits are incredible. Intermittent fasting can boost your energy, melt visceral fat and more. I’ve included a few article links that speak to intermittent fasting.

How Isagenix Got Ahead Of the Cleansing Curve

Intermittent Fasting Has Benefits Beyond Weight Loss

For this reason I give Isagenix the overall edge here.

Conclusion

Both companies do an incredible job of helping people lose weight and create a healthier lifestyle. In the end, I’d give the edge to Isagenix based on the quality control and the fact that intermittent fasting is part of their overall program. However, Shakeology offers some awesome fitness programs like P90x (which is fantastic) at a slightly additional charge. So, the final decision is on you.
